I am deeply inspired by song lyrics and the fleeting moments in which they describe our lived experiences. This piece features a quote from the song, “4:00 a.m.,” by Taeko Ohnuki. In the chorus she sings, “Is this the last chance I wonder?” In the moment the piece is referencing, I ponder the very same thing.
