Throughout my practice, I’ve explored a range of mediums and styles. I began my artistic journey with an emphasis on technical ability and a fascination with classical standards. Human anatomy is a throughline in all of my artistic endeavors as it is a vehicle in which I pursue many inquiries. My pieces begin with introspection that I then apply to universal ideas or themes. Though derived from personal experience, my audience is invited to project themselves onto my work. This is often encouraged through finding congruencies between popular media and common, lived experiences. Mainstream art, literature, cinema, and music have shaped much of my, and my generation’s understanding of the world. Referencing popular art allows the underlying meaning of my work to become more accessible.

I use a range of media including construction paper, color pencil, graphite, acrylic paint, and various printmaking techniques. I continue to hone my skills in traditional media, as well as investigating broader themes and finding my personal style. The synthesis of stylized and realistic depictions, supports the interplay of popular narratives and our reality. Color theory, typography, and graphic design concepts have characterized the aesthetic quality of much of my work.
