“Don’t be a stranger” is the closing line from the song “Scott Street,” by Phoebe Bridgers. A very emotional artifact for my generation, this song captures the bittersweet departure from a figure of the past. The birds represent this dynamic as one remains planted as the other launches in an opposite direction.
